LONGVIEW, Texas – Four attorneys with East Texas trial law firm Ward, Smith & Hill, PLLC, have earned spots on the 2018 Texas Super Lawyers list recognizing the state’s top lawyers.
Firm founder Johnny Ward earned selection to the lists of the Top 100 lawyers in Texas and in the Dallas-Fort Worth region. Among the state’s top intellectual property litigation attorneys, he has a track record of winning big jury verdicts in some of the highest-stakes patent litigation trials. He has been selected to Super Lawyers list every year since 2003.
Name partners Wesley Hill and Bruce A. Smith as well as of counsel and former federal Judge T. John Ward also are featured in the 2018 edition of the peer-review legal guide. Judge Ward has been selected to the list each year since retiring from the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas in 2011.
Both he and Mr. Hill earned recognition for their intellectual property litigation work. Earlier in his career, Mr. Hill earned repeat honors on the Texas Rising Stars list of the state’s top young attorneys. He is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
Mr. Smith was selected by Super Lawyers for his expertise in personal injury litigation on behalf of plaintiffs. He has tried more than 60 cases to verdict and is Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law.
