Garrett Parish

Partner

Garrett thrives on the demands of high-stakes litigation. A native East Texan, he is proud to live, practice, and advocate for clients in the community he calls home.

Garrett is a litigator whose practice is primarily in two areas. He works in intellectual property litigation, where he starts with the end in mind—a jury trial on the merits. As someone who has worked on more patent trials than most seasoned litigators, Garrett provides a unique perspective. He works with teams from inception, through case development and discovery, and, once embedded within the trial team, continues to refine and execute trial strategy in a way that makes technically challenging cases understandable to a jury.

He also maintains an active commercial litigation practice, representing individuals and businesses in a broad range of disputes, including construction litigation, employment matters, real estate disputes, and general business litigation. Garrett approaches these matters with the same trial-oriented mindset, while ensuring clients manage risk, control costs, and achieve efficient resolutions. He combines methodical case development with practical judgment to position clients for favorable outcomes.

Regardless of subject matter, Garrett is known for his insight and disciplined approach. He quickly identifies key issues to help drive cases toward an efficient, effective conclusion. Whether through early resolution or trial, he is committed to delivering tailored strategies to achieve each client’s objectives.

Practicing in East Texas affords Garrett the opportunity to do what he values most—be in the courtroom. Clients and co-counsel appreciate the intensity, focus, and sound judgment he brings to every matter he handles, whatever size the case may be.

Outside the office, Garrett enjoys spending time with his wife and two young daughters. He is also an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hunting, fishing, and any activity that takes him outside.
