For Garrett, the law isn’t just a profession. It’s where family, tradition, and the thrill of the courtroom come together. Garrett is living out his dream of practicing in his native East Texas.
Garrett’s journey to Miller Fair Henry has come full circle. He started as an intern with the predecessor firm of Ward, Smith & Hill and says he is honored to continue learning from and working alongside some of the best trial lawyers in the nation. Garrett handles matters involving patents and complex commercial litigation. He’s always looking for the best strategies for his clients, whether those involve an early resolution or taking the case to trial. Garrett aims to offer the best solutions for each client’s unique needs.
The legal world has always been Garrett’s playground. He spent hours shadowing his dad, a private investigator specializing in jury selection. He drew wisdom from his aunt — a former district judge for the 115th District Court in Upshur County — and heard stories about his granddad — also an esteemed lawyer. Garrett enjoys the pace and freedom that East Texas offers, which enables him to spend more time in the courtroom and less time behind a desk.
Garrett is a thrill seeker at heart and thrives on energy both inside and outside of the courtroom. Away from the office, he enjoys mountain biking, hunting, and anything else that gets his heart pumping.
