Claire embarked on her legal journey as a general litigator. Her career took an exhilarating turn when she returned to Texas and began working on patent cases and later when she worked as a briefing attorney for retired federal judge T. John Ward in the Eastern District. Claire became immersed in the complex world of patent cases, sparking a keen interest in this field. Through her work, she mastered the art of translating complex technical terms into plain language, ensuring jurors could grasp even the most intricate ideas. Claire’s ability to bridge the gap between technicality and comprehension has become a hallmark of her patent litigation practice. Her skills in jury selection, delivering opening and closing statements, and conducting direct examinations and cross-examinations of witnesses have made her a formidable presence in the courtroom.
Claire’s life extends far beyond the legal world. She finds solace in the pages of books and the adventures of travel, all while generously donating her time as a volunteer and board member for numerous local non-profits. This dedication to serving others is a value that she and her husband, also a lawyer, strive to instill in their two daughters.
